Welcome!

Welcome to the Camberwell Structured Playgroup (CSP) website. We are a not-for-profit organisation that is run by parents and aims to provide positive experiences for young children and their families.

Playgroup can provide parents and carers quality time with their child, friendship and support, social stimulation and new experiences. At Playgroup children can develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. They can have new experiences, make new friends, gain self-confidence and have fun.

We offer children a wide range of activities. These include free play in our outdoor area with a slide, cubby, swing, sandpit and outdoor toys. Inside we have a variety of gross motor skills equipment like tunnels, a slide and walk board. Many role playing opportunities are available too with dress ups, kitchen play and dolls being the most popular. We also have a reading corner, puzzles, games, and play dough. There are also always great planned art and craft activities.

CSP is held during school terms, 9.30-12pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. It does not run on public holidays. Check out the term dates and what's coming up.

Vacant committee positions - we would love your help!

We still have vacancies on the committee that need to be filled to ensure playgroup continues to run as successfully as it has for the last 30+ years. Active participation on the CSP volunteer committee may attract a discount on your child/rens enrolment fees.

We are seeking:

Enrolments Officer - A key role on the volunteer committee, the Enrolments Officer responds to enquiries, coordinates trials and enrolments, communicates with Playgroup Victoria and actively participates in CSP committee meetings and activities.

Fundraising Officer - The CSP relies on additional financial support to be able to run and maintain everything in playgroup. The Fundraising position is organising and coordinating different activities, such as the Caring for Kids raffle, Bright Star Kids labels, Bunnings BBQ as well as new opportunities to raise money for CSP and actively participates in CSP committee meetings and activities.

Active participation on the CSP volunteer committee may attract a discount on your child/rens enrolment fees.

Alternatively, please let us know what skills you have that could benefit CSP. Are you or your partner, grandparents etc handy on the tools.... We would love to hear from you!
